Music for Worms and Compost employs highly sensitive contact microphones buried in vermicomposting bins to amplify the movements of the worms into the gallery space. Gallery staff and community members contribute to the work by providing food scraps for the worms to consume and break down, returning the food a nutrient state so that it can be used to grow more food.
